Hakko goes to Myanmar

Hakko goes to Myanmar

June 16, 2016

Hakko Products has always believed in advancing technical education in the region.

In line with our commitment to supporting the educational sector, we have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Singapore-Myanmar Vocational Training Institute (SMVTI) in Yangon, Myanmar.

With this MoU, we will provide SMVTI teachers training on soldering and microsoldering skill, and work with them to introduce a soldering elective to their curriculum. We hope that graduating students will then be able to be valuable line managers in the electronics manufacturing industry in Myanmar.

As their MoU partner, we also had a chance to host the Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr Lee Hsien Loong, in our Hakko room at SMVTI! This happened exactly 1 week ago, and was a very exciting day for us. We are proud to play a small role in transforming technical education in Myanmar, and producing effective workers and leaders for their workforce.

P.S. How many times can you spot our blue Hakko display shelves at the back of the classroom?
